The taste of it, the preparation of the flavorful blends, are an attack on the senses and loosen inhibitions. It' s only fitting that this aphrodisiac would be at the center of a love story. Brooke and Cam are a complicated duo brought together by an attraction that is tempting and unstoppable from the beginning. Cam is a visionary. His creativity is one of the driving forces behind his vineyard and his determination is on the verge of paying off. Brooke is gusty, ambitious and wary of the man behind the wine. His reputation precedes him and her pasts haunts her. Will the pain of the past stand in the way of the hope for the future? So Good is classic Darcy Burke. Savvy, sexy and heartwarming contemporary romance. Getting to revisit Ribbon Ridge and catch up with old friends and meet new ones made this romance all the sweeter. ( ) This new series from Darcy Burke has more of a contemporary flare to it. I very much enjoy the setting of this latest romance. It’s light, hearty, flirty, provides some emotional moments, some angst, and a great couple to stand behind. Brooke and Cam have some chemistry, witty quick banter, light flirty effort, and heated exchanges both verbal and non-verbal. I got pulled in and look forward to more from this series. I think that if you are a fan of Burke’s historical romances. This one will give you another view of her and what she has to offer in other genres of romance. There was a small town, a winery, a host of friends and family, emotional turmoil, painful past, and a electrical chemistry connection between Brooke and Cam. So Good (Ribbon Ridge- Love on the Vine #1) by Darcy Burke is a 2016 publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This first book of a new series by Darcy Burke returns to Ribbon Ridge with a new cast of characters. The series opener lays a solid foundation for what is sure to be an outstanding arc for Ribbon Ridge fans. This book started off with a light and flirty tone, with some pretty sharp banter, and saucy conversation between Cam and Brooke. There are some super charged sparks flying between these two, but when one zigs the other one zags. But, even when they seem to finally land on the same page, a sensitive issue for the couple and for their extended families could throw a wet blanket over everything. The light and breezy tone that initially grabbed my attention slowly evolved into a very emotional story, that choked me up a little bit. Cam and Brooke both have issues to overcome, both needed a good talking to, on occasion, but overall, they are a dynamic couple, and it was fun to watch them go through the paces of their relationship, seeing them fall in love, and work through the obstacles in the way of their happily ever after. Although my heart was heavy with sadness for Brooke, and I hated to see her feel such disappointment, Cam really won my heart, and boy did his character go through some changes! I loved watching him transform and step up to plate for Brooke, who deserves every good thing he has to offer. Overall, I loved the small town setting, the winery, the family and friends that surrounded the couple, and the way the romance built to a crescendo, with just the right touch of drama and emotion. I can’t wait for book two in the series and hope there is an update on Cam and Brooke soon. 4 stars sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
