He's the hot college quarterback all the girls want. She's the smart girl he loves to pick on. And now that they're all grown up, things are about to get geekin' ugly. My name is Tass. I'm smart, I'm driven, and I am determined not to let prankster Hunter Johnson continue raining on my parade. When we were little, he'd pull my hair and call me names. When we were teenagers, he'd throw food and tease me for being a flat-chested virgin. But now that we've ended up at the same college, he's out of his hot head if he thinks he can keep messing with my life. It's like he's fixated on me or something. Well, guess what, Mr. Amazefootball? I'm not that geeky little girl anymore and you do not screw with a smart woman. So what's my plan? Contains mature themes.… (mais)

Got to be honest here this wasn't my favourite of this authors work.
Maybe because this was New Adult which really isn't usually my thing.
But I think my main issue here may have been that I wasn't really that keen on either main character.
I just found them not that likeable and because of this, I wasn't really that invested in their overall outcome together.
This is at its heart enemies to lovers type scenario.
Or in this case, childish juvenile behaviour all through adolescence continuing into adulthood.
Somebody ought to have knocked these two heads together years ago.
And the parents really should have staged an intervention at some point.
So yeh I could have forgiven all misdemeanours here if this had then redeemed itself in college: but the same mistakes were being repeated over and over again by two kids playing at being grown-ups.
They never seemed to learn and they were both as bad as the other.
I also couldn't understand how Tass was so mad at Hunter over his bet: forgive me for misinterpreting but wasn't that the original plan?
Why then turn around and act like the wronged party: was it only ok until she decided to do the deed: then the rules are changed.
Look this was amusing and had its moments just not enough for me to turn a blind eye to the characters childish antics.
So yeh this had its good and bad points just a shame the characters were not more likeable: if they had been I probably would have rated this much higher.
Again as I would expect from this author this was a fabulously well-written read: really can't fault it on that.
I voluntary reviewed an Arc of Smart Tass (OHellNo, #1)
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

The power of WORDS is explored! In our age of awareness concerning bullying this is a read that explains the effects of a bleeding heart. Tassie and Hunter are neighbors and two souls who have bounced their feeling like a rubber ball for years. Shadows of our mind shield us from hurt and lash out with anger when threatened. Pamfiloff always conveys intense characters that likely will either make you laugh or cry or more likely both. Quick, Funny, Romantic journey that leads to the ultimate escape! Don't miss out on this one or any of her series! "A copy of this book was provided by author through NetGalley with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and my comments here are my honest opinion." While I was waiting for the approval on this I purchased my own copy just as I have done for years. Yes she is that good! Look forward to Oh Henry which I think I will go purchase right now! ( )
