After discovering that her husband Mark was leading a double life and was not actually her husband, Katherine decides to quit her job in the city and go find herself at the ocean for six months.

Katherine recreates herself, and becomes Kate, and for the first time in a long while, she feels "at home." Everyone at the island is very welcoming and supportive. Jaded by love, she finds herself pulling away from a potential relationship...especially after she discovers that she is pregnant with Mark's child. Who would want her? After all, she is carrying the child of another woman's husband. Her worries only build after she collapses and is rushed to the hospital...all her island friends are there to support her, her parents come to her aid from FL, and her brother rushes in from overseas. Kate learns that family is more than blood.

The store is reminiscent of Safe Haven. I enjoyed it very much.
