Rory and his Grandad. On the run because the Grandad is slowly losing his mind and the Rory has to run home every lunchtime from school to check that he hasn’t burnt down the house or worse. When the authorities put them both in a home, they run away together to Rory’s best friends holiday home – they meet up with some gypsies but then Granda takes a turn for the worse and Rory must make an agonising decision.The passage where Rory and his Granda have had to leave the caravan and creep off into the night.
