Ryse is a player. A hockey player and a player in the sheets he never wants to settle down and it has been the one thing he has held on to since his father walked out on him. He wants to focus on hockey and be the best he can be, but when a puck bunny gets other ideas he has to think fast on his feet so he enrolls his best friend Paris for help. Paris is a single mom who has been let down by many men in her life, so she focuses on her education and raising her son. She doesn’t trust easy and has walls surrounding her heart so when Ryse and her agree to the fake relationship to help both them out she thinks she will be able to keep those walls up and not fall for her best friend. When things start to become more entangled the tension and attraction between these two ramps up and it becomes harder to fight it. Can Ryse change his playboy ways and be the man that shows Paris he can be there and more for her and her son? Will Paris lower her walls down to let Ryse into their lives and see that not all men are horrible? The journey for these two is emotional because they both carry the weight of their pasts with them, but when Ryse set his sights for what he wanted there was no looking back for him. This was such a great read that keeps you glued in the whole time and getting to see more of the characters that we love was amazing. I do wish that a certain puck bunny got her @$$ handed to her because of all the crap she tried to do. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this group. ( )
