This is about Breaker the President of the Satan's Raiders MC. He was betrayed in the worse way by the woman he thought was the one, his true love. It's been about a year since everything went down with her and the club is getting worried about him and how he hasn't bounced back. He's sworn he'll never fall in love or trust a woman again. He's learned his lesson. Ops and Mabel decide to take Breaker to a strip club where he sees Kara dance. He's so mesmerized he can't take his eyes off her. Kara has her own secrets like trying to be in hiding from her dead exes goons that are looking for her. When she runs into her friend Trixie and decides to go work at the club she's at. Breaker is dealing with a threat to his club and thinks they're targeting Kara because of him when Trixie and she are attacked one night leaving work, but it was Kara's own enemies. Luckily they are saved by Breaker and the Devil's Nightmare MC who are looking for Trixie. Breaker wants to keep Kara safe and takes her to the clubhouse which is plain awkward for her. Not one person except Sunny makes her feel welcome. When she finds out about Celia, Breaker's ex she takes off. Does Breaker find her in time? Can he save and protect her? Can he save his own club?
This book is somewhat of a crossover. Lena Bourne brought her guys from her series the Devil's Nightmare MC into this story and reading her next book will let you know what happens to Trixie. I enjoyed this book so much that I gave it a 4-star rating. I wish it had been longer and had more spicy scenes. For that, I gave it a 3 out of 5. This book can be read as a standalone but I suggest starting at the beginning of the series to get all of Breaker's back story. I think the events that happened make this book more understandable. Sarge is up next and I can't wait to see who he ends up with.
