Sent by Techno-pope, Techno-cardinal Orne-8 has a single mission - cover all tracks saying Epyphite is but gone from the Universe at large [of course kill anyone who says differently including the entire planet where this Epyphite is mined] and find the alternative.
Orne-8 sees all the signs marking the destruction of the world as we know it and seeks Metabaron to help keep the expected tide of destruction from blowing everything up.
And Metabaron (the current one, No-Name) you ask? Well he saw the end of the Universe with his inner eye and decides to fornicate with anybody interested in it until everything is ultimately destroyed. Orne-8 needs to change his mind and thankfully has the tools to do it :)
But of course the twist here is trans-human (biological machine) acting as Orne-8 bodyguard. He is upset because of actions Orne-8 forced him to do and decides to speed up this total-destruction event. Does he succeed? Well we will know that in next volume I guess because this one ends with a cliffhanger.
Art is great (as is case with entire series) and I am especially thankful that we don't have sadistic and perverse persons in this episode. I am truly interested where the story goes from here.
