Johnis, Silvie, and Darsal are home, kind of. On returning home they have found that five years have passed. That means a lot of changes. The Horde have taken over middle and the citizens have either turned Horde, or escaped for freedom to the circle. Also the rules of the lake have been changed. The lakes are red with albino blood. If you want to live, you have to drown in the red lakes. Johnis, Silvie, and Darsal will have a hard time adapting to this new world as we follow along with this adventure.

This book was amazing. Much better plot, interesting twists, and great climax. I can’t believe though that the Roush have all just disappeared. They would have been great in this book, adding some light to the story. The plot triangle fit perfectly, everything was perfect. I really enjoyed this book and I hope you do too. Can’t spoil everything though can I? ( )
