I'll come back to this to read the rest of the book, but I really liked Frost's story, Devil to Pay. A touch of angst from a loner/hermit heroine who's shut people away. I love the Night Huntress world and characters, and this was a great read. I also enjoyed the Irish Duke, being a fan of spinsters. He bits of insecurity made me like her all the more. None of the rest of the stories jumped out at me so this book will stay in my to-read queue. The Duke Who Came to Dinner by Elaine Fox - 3 Very chopping reading. Cynthia is house sitting and trying to dispel the rumor of a ghost, while trying to step out of her comfort zone and be a more spontaneous person. Sam is shocked to see an almost naked woman bicycling past his home, only later to run into her at a local bar. He's intrigued but knows she's just there for the summer. The Irish Duke by Cathy Maxwell - 4 Susan helps young ladies find suitable husbands, her telling the familes that an Irish Duke is seated last of all Dukes gets her in hot water with the Irish Duke, Roan. Sweet, highly accelerated love story. I think it would have been better with a few more pages. Catch of the Century by Sophia Nash - 4 Spinster, with her three charges walking down the road until John's carriage almosts runs them down. After hearing their story the Duke ends up taking them to their destination. The attraction is strong but Victoria is having none of it. Fun short. Charmed by Her Smile by Tracy Anne Warren - 5 India is being relentless pursued by an unwelcome suitor and begs a stranger to kiss her ot put him off. Then later asks him to pretend to be her suitor. He believes their attraction will not endure and thinks she will forget him after her first Season. Engaging romance.
