Personal response: I remember growing up in middle school and high school was always tough. Being accepted and making sure that you had good friends was a difficult thing to manage. In this book, it presents how being different can be tough for some students. In addition, making sure that you are invited to one of the biggest birthday parties of the year is also important. This book does a great job at presenting how a person who is different can be accepted and be put in a light that is positive. Even the book presents Oggie as someone who is different, he displays some interesting and funny characteristics. On the area of visuals, this book presents some great sketches of the book and can be easily read by adults and high school students. It works as a book that can reach to different age levels and presents itself as a book that is relatable to young adults. (
