Wonderful art deco coffee table book. Would be good if you just want to flip through and look at the numerous illustrations. Author does go in depth on several different designers, architects, painters etc. Is broken into four sections art deco on show, architecture, interior design and art. Each section is a fairly in depth explanation from the authors point of view of the high points for each. Art on show is various different design shows or worlds fairs that helped to bring the art deco style into fashion and how it changed. Architecture is various buildings in the US, France and Europe overall with information about specific architects. Interior design she talks about some of the opulent skyscrapers and cruise ships of the time. Art she leans heavily on Rockefeller Center, Diego Rivera and a few others. Very good again in depth if you want to read the text but also nice just for the pictures. ( )
