Fiction. Romance. HTML:

He might be too good to be true...

Ben Walsh shouldn't be single. Handsome and wealthy, Ben is equally at home in Idaho where he grew up and in Manhattan where he's now an art dealer. Suave and successful with impeccable taste, he normally has women beating down his door. But the one woman he wants can't be convinced that he's for real...

She isn't sure if she has time for fairy tales...

Gina Reyez has fought for every bit of her success, and it's about time for things to start going her way. So when Ben makes a proposal that will allow her to take care of her family the way she wants to, she agrees. Besides, a guy this perfect would never be interested in her...right? By the time Gina figures out that she's read Ben all wrong, the arrangements are made, the papers are signed...but what exactly are they getting themselves into?

This book was okay but nothing really happened. There were an awful lot of pages for that much nothing to happen. It wasn't as amusing as it could have been with the whole 'she thought he was gay' thing. The author didn't do much with that element and she dropped it half way through. The characterizations were fairly insipid. There were a lot of characters that didn't add much to the story and were difficult to keep straight. ( )

I really enjoyed this book. Although Gina was never my favorite character in this series her history that comes out in this story explains a lot and softens her. The relationship between Gina and Ben is great. Although you could read this standalone I recommend reading it as the fourth book in the domestic gods series. ( )

I liked the story but not as much as the others in this series. The characters were inconsistent and unrealistic so it took me awhile to warm up to them. I never liked the heroine who was so stubborn. Gina agrees to Ben's proposal for a fake marriage so his grandpa will give him a ranch.

Incredibly sweet and very real story! A strange twist to an arranged marriage in modern times, and luckily it did really end well. Ben and Gina were such a fun couple, and there's a lot of humour in this book. Stubborn people do a lot of weird things when they think they've been wronged.

Really should be read after the three "Domestic Gods" books, as there is some continuity from those, and the same characters appear, even if they are less present in this book. ( )

Really more of a 2 1/2 star read...I was really enjoying it until I was about 2/3 of the way through, and then it just got annoying. The reason for Gina and Ben's big relationship stumbling block just didn't scan for me. First, I had to read the page over twice to even understand what had happened; then, it just seemed rediculous. From that point on everything that was said and done just seemed too overblown. The ending got a little better, but not much. By far my favorite in the series was the first one; they've all been going steadily downhill from there. ( )
