So to begin with, these books are not exclusively about the Ward sisters, don’t get me wrong, they feature all the way though the books. But it also is about friends and spouses of the ward sisters. The first book is about Emily Ward and Rob, The second is about Luke and Jenna; neither are Wards, but Luke is Rob’s bodyguard and Jenna is Rob’s assistant. Book three is about Meghan (Emily’s BFF) and Neil (Charlie Wards husband’s friend) and finally book four we are back to the Ward sisters with Annie and Josh’s story.
So to begin with the stories are great, detailed and without plot holes. The characters were whole, complete with back stories.
There were many things that I liked about the Ward Sisters books 1-4, but there are 2 things I hated with this whole series. The deleted scenes are the first. If it wasn’t good enough to be left in the book, please don’t post them at the end of the book, it was too confusing and in my humble opinion, they distracted from the story.
Flashbacks were the second thing, again it completely distracted from the story, I would have rather the author had started the book 11 years ago, with the confusing flashbacks to different time periods between the two lead characters.
Overall the Ward Sisters was an enjoyable read, which earns 8 out of 10 from me.
