This book is a parody of "Twas The Night Before Christmas," and it is about getting ready for Zoo day.

Follows the cadence of “T’was the Night Before Christmas” poem, but it talks about how the animals are antsy, and what the zookeepers do to get the animals and zoo taken care of and ready for visitors. It incorporates many different types of animals.

This book brings the beauty of the African lion to the reader through photographs. The large photographs will appeal to young readers. The text is simple for the emergent reader. It is a nice introduction to non-fiction.
