A very good compilation of Australian true crime stories, including many of the best known (the Wanda Beach Murders, the Beaumont Children disappearance and the Gatton Murders) and the obscure (The Parramatta River Murders; I've since found a book, "The Sydney Assassins", devoted to this rather bizarre affair, and The Elizabeth Scott affair). All are intriguing in their own ways and Sharpe has a fine way with words.

A good introduction to any true crime aficionado looking for an introduction to the grisly history of Australian crime.½

This was a very interesting book. I like true crime books and since I don't know much about Australian crime history, this was a good read. Was interesting to know more about the Chamberlain/Dingo story other than the oft-repeated "Dingo's got my baby" (?) line and to hear about the Beaumont kids, among other stories.
