Starset

A strong debut album from the sci-fi-inspired rock band Starset. Mixing a hard rock sound influenced by the likes of Breaking Benjamin and Red, Starset interposes this sound with that of movie soundtracks, making for an epic feel as orchestral instruments combine with the heavier sound of rock and, at times, some electronic elements as well. While the album contains strong tracks that resonate as some of the band's greatest works, it isn't quite their best album in my opinion, though it is still a great album. Highly recommended to fans of the genre looking for something fresh and different. Highlighted tracks for me are: "Down With the Fallen," "Carnivore," "Telescope," "My Demons," "Let It Die," and "Point of No Return."

Content Concerns: Nothing objectionable.
