Yes I used to be part of a men's group where we discussed what it was to be male. They were often so pointless as we could have done more in small groups having a beer. The final breaking point for me was one of the men managing to drone on about the cosmology of childbirth for 30 minutes. What did work was when we used creative listening. This is where a topic is agreed and the then each of us can say what we like on the subject for say 5 -10 minutes, then a period of silence and then the next in the circle speaks. So no conversation but surprising what emerges. Now I look back and think that the problem was that it was men trying to be women rather then look at the issues as men… (mais)
