novels, novels and more novels, with some other works mixed in. for very special books i keep several copies so that i may easily lend them to friends. favorite authors include robertson davies, nikos kazantzakis, louise erdrich and mark helprin. major regret--so many of the books that i consider marvelous are out of print.

i am retired after a 40+ year career as a pension actuary. i have always loved books, especially well written novels. i am currently in the painful process of thinning out my much-loved library in preparation for a major relocation.
