I'm still reading a review by Cole Matson in the Journal of Milton Walsh's book Second Friends: CS Lewis and Ronald Knox in Conversation so it's premature to call it excellent, but so far it fascinating and I hope at the least I can wake up this group from dormancy and also the Inklings Group. These are Second friends by Lewis' definition because they have very similar interests, but frequently different and even opposing conclusions. Lewis often seemed to be tiptoeing near Catholicism but seemed insistent that he could never give up his Protestant background despite having promoted atheism in college. Knox, on the other hand, was a Protest pastor who converted to Catholicism. I plan to finish the review and find the book but also hope others will provide some hi-lights here or in the Inklings group.
