This book is an insult to the intelligence of even the average reader, much less anyone who enjoys reading, literature, or history. It is perfect for the tourist trade coming into Malta from, primarily, Europe, but for anybody wanting a good read and hoping to learn a bit as well, this book is a joke.
The book, to begin with, seriously needs an editor and editing. Additionally, it needs an author who is capable of stringing together a series of words reminiscent of a high school graduate. From the opening line in his introduction where he claims he is “a born writer”, right through to the last few words of the book, it is quite easy to realize Attard has no clue about the art of writing. Even though he may know his material, this was a dull book that had few high spots and what one would consider a high spot are whipped over in the fewest of sentences. Absolutely not worth your time....unless you are a family member or a friend of the author. Finished 28.03.2020. ( )
