Christopher Robin kicks off a round robin of gift-giving in the Hundred-Acre Wood, inspiring each friend to pay it forward to the next. While some gifts are fairly traditional offerings of food, clothing or art supplies, others are a bit more problematic.

Is Owl returning Eeyore's tail really a gift? Or is the gift that Owl finally stops being an ass who hasn't bothered to return Eeyore's tail?

Is giving Rabbit a drawing of what his garden would look like if Tigger hadn't just destroyed it a gift? Seems cruel to me. Or is it really a gift to Tigger who then feels no need to apologize or make restitution of his own?

And how is having Pooh drag around a pot of honey the whole book that he is reluctant to give away any sort of lesson or gift when in the end Christopher Robin says, Naw, just keep it and that's my gift to you, 'kay? It's just more cruelty, and perhaps that's Christopher Robin's gift to his smug and self-righteous self. Punk.
