This book is hysterical! I loved this series when I was younger. The characters in the book are well developed and very comical. For example the main character that is anxious about picture day states, “I want to look great! A handsome heroic Hubie hunk!” The illustrations also help support the text. They have labels and describe the text perfectly. There was no main message in this book. ( )

Summary:
A true "Black Lagoon" style look at every child's dread of class pictures and all the things that can go wrong.

Personal Reflection:
I have always been a big fan of the "Black Lagoon" books. They are so over the top silly that they make it hard not to chuckle over what could be a scary or intimidating event for a child.

Classroom Extension:
-This would be a great classroom read the day before class pictures to help dispel some of the anxiety that some kids tend to face when it comes to picture day.
