I received this book from the author, for my unbiased review. Thanks to Mother Daughter Book Reviews for coordinating this. Medusa needs to brush her hair, but she won't. Grandma shows up and takes her to the barbershop. I loved this story, instead of ugly snakes, she has beautiful curly blond hair. The illustrations were great especially the one of Grandma with a shocked look, that takes up two pages. Just like the story of Midas, there is a mythology story about Medusa at the end of the book. Now your children will be ahead of the game at school too! Parents: There is an underlying moral to this book. Medusa keeps putting off her hair being brushed, so grandma steps in and gets her a haircut. She also calls the barbershop "Candy" since she receives a lollipop there. Then her dad says, Medusa its time to brush your teeth! Children: Children will love the illustrations, and will learn that grandma will definitely get things done. I love the illustration that is on two pages of the Grandma with a shocked look, looking at Medusa's wild hair. I recommend this book for the ages 0-3, because I am a firm believer in reading books to your child no matter how young they are. (It worked for me!) sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

My mother let me grow my hair long when I was little and I remember the frustration in her voice when she tried to get me to hold still long enough to get it untangled. And some of the stuff that stuck in it, I shudder when I remember. LOL
Included at the end of the book is the story of the real Medusa told so young ones could understand.
The illustrations are colorful and adorable and the adaption of mythology to modern day is delightful. Adults and their youngest to preschoolers and young readers will enjoy these over and over. ( )
