I loved this little novella. I thought the characters had a surprising amount of layers that came across in so few pages. Will definitely be reading more of the series. (

This was a really tight novella about two neighbors who have been close friends their whole lives, but who are coming up to that point where they need to decide if they're going to risk their comfortable, safe routine to reach for even greater happiness. I particularly liked that the heroine has been low-key pining for years and is fed up and ready to do what she has to do to not waste away because her beau can't get his shit together. Thankfully, he does, & it is SO satisfying. (

I read this short story four years ago and it was the first time I read this author. This is actually the prequel to the Wallflower Weddings series, and a good one at that. Trope of childhood friends falling in love is one that I always liked and I thought this story was very well done. It packed a lot for a short story!

I found the characters in this story to be sweet, fun and entertaining. The chemistry was good, the pace fast and the dialogue witty.

This is a perfect story for any season, but Christmas especially. Try it! It's only 99 cents and it really is worth it :)
