Another good story involving the Hunter family. Love that this is a tight knit family that has no problems teasing their siblings all the while holding them up when they need it. Very good romance between Audrey & Logan along with some laughs. Ms. Claflin certainly knows how to craft a story that keeps your interest and touches your heart. Thanks for this one, Ms. Claflin!!

I started this sweet story thinking I would read a few pages and continue it a little at a time. So much for that idea! I read half of the book before making myself get up to feed my hungry cat. Yes, I got that caught up in the story right from the beginning.

Attorney Logan Hunter is spending his unused vacation time at home in Enchantment Bay. He is single, and has no plans to change that status. However, along comes Audrey Hughes, a woman he has no recollection of meeting until she reminds him of their brief friendship back when they were teen-agers. What she proposes to him comes as a total surprise, but he agrees to her plan.

I felt I got to know both principal characters and became entranced as I rode out the highs and lows of their relationship. They come across as the kind of people I would like to know. Can they form a true relationship as he works to help her get away from a previous one?

The peripheral people you meet are adequately developed so that you feel they are important to the story. Even the dog adds an extra dimension.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet story. It did not take me long to read, and I finished it in two reading sessions. This is a romance, so the ending is pretty much a foregone conclusion, but I enjoyed the journey.

A wedding pact was made. Teenagers brought together for one summer became close & agreed that if they weren't married by age 30, they'd marry each other. Then she vanished & never came back to town.

Logan is a successful attorney. He has ate, slept & breathed the law for his firm & has decided to take the summer off. He was relaxing on the beach when a strange woman approached. He couldn't believe Audrey was finally back.

Audrey was trying to figure a way out of a terrible relationship. She's told the man to leave her alone but he's stalking her. She found Logan & reminded him of their long ago pact. Once she had the courage to tell him what was going on, they agreed to a fake engagement to see if that would cause him to back off. Would it work? Would their feelings develop into something more?

Stacy Claflin gives her readers a love story with some drama to pull them in & engage them from the beginning. Her characters are well developed & three dimensional. They are realistic & has something the readers can identify with. The plot has twists & turns that keep you reading longer than you plan to. You just can't put it down. The secondary characters, including Charlie the dog, add depth to the story along with humor & wit. Another great story to the Hunter series that can be read as a stand alone. ( )
