Note: I received a digital review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. An introverted wolf is dragged out of his pleasant life of reading books and studying astronomy and botany and forced to learn about friendship, community, responsibility, and sharing. In other words, dragged into hell. I could almost concede the point of the story, until the final line when the author tells us that somehow the wolf is able to incorporate a new active social life while reading as many or more books and discovering as many or more plants and stars. I can only infer that the wolf rarely sleeps because it now has an intense cocaine habit . . . and that is just not appropriate in a children's book. Little Wise Wolf has learned many things from the books he loves reading. But he learns a tough lesson when he finds he is unprepared for a long journey to help the sick king. All the friends he didn’t have time to help him on his way and he learns everyone has their own unique skills he can learn from. Read Little Wise Wolf to teach about the importance of community and friendships, asking questions, knowledge, self-awareness and kindness. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

"Little Wise Wolf is very wise. He loves reading books and soaking up all the knowledge embodied within them. One day, Little Wise Wolf is called on to use his impressive wisdom to help the ailing king. But on his way to the palace, he slowly realizes he may not be as wise as he thinks he is, and that the world is much bigger than that contained within his books."-- Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
