After the Bite Argeneau, Book 35 I Picked Up This Book Because: My #BookspinBingo spinner told me to/Continue the series Media Type: Audiobook Source: Scribd Dates Read: 5/26/23 - 5/29/23 Stars: 4 Narrator(s): Stacey Glembowski The Characters: Valerian: Natalie: Mia, Val’s Sister, Many many other immortals The Story: I love seeing a long time series still going strong. Still interesting. Still thriving. I hope Ms Sands never runs out of Argeneu family members. Seeing these hunters get their HEAs is so much fun. The Random Thoughts: Don't be intimidated by the number of books written previous to this one, the author is very good about giving readers enough background that if you start here or just need a refresher you won't be lost. It's always fun to revisit Lynsay Sand's Argeneau series catching up with characters we've met from other books who've come to help out and meeting a few new ones Book 35 After the Bite doesn't disappoint. This is a paranormal romance with witty conversations, some suspense, laughter, family and a touch of humor. I received this ARC from Avon/Harper Voyager and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. #Argeneau #AftertheBite #NetGalley If you have read any of the others books in this series, you already know how much the series has changed. I don't have to explain it to you and waste your time. I recommend reading at least a couple of her newer books so you can familiarize yourself with some of the characters in this book. And there are a TON of characters! Ms. Sands has the wonderful habit of using many of her starring characters repeatedly as secondary or even tertiary characters. A familiar trope of a single Mom doing what she can do to keep her family together--in this case, it's owning and taking care of a golf course/restaurant. The vamps are looking into a serial killer, and soon it seems that this killer may be after the course owner, Natalie. Sorry, but I'm not going to spoil this book with more of the story or simply re-write the synopsis of the book to pad my review. So I will just say that this book had a major twist and I did figure out the clumsy murderer- but the why of it just floored the poop out of me! The author also goes with the happily-ever-after trope (well, it IS a romance after all!!!). There is a tone of sizzlin' sex and the inevitable human-to-vamp change. I loved it and read this in a single day. *ARC supplied by the publisher Avon and Harper Voyager, NetGalley, and Lynsay Sands, the author. My thanks sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

The Argeneaus are back! New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands returns with another sexy, passion-filled romance about everyone's favorite vampires. Immortal Enforcer Valerian just wants to relax. His last assignment had been more grueling than he'd care to admit, and golf has always helped him unwind. If golf course owner Natalie thinks it's a little odd for him to tee off at sunset every evening, she's keeping it to herself. The single mom is sexy as hell, and her little daughter Mia only adds to his delight. He knows Natalie is wary of a relationship of any kind... what will she think when she discovers he's an Immortal? His best course of action is to woo her the old-fashioned way. But the course of true love never did run smooth-especially for a vampire and a mortal. And when danger stalks Natalie, Valerian realizes he's playing a game of life and death and if he loses this round, he risks losing her forever. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

Natalie inherited her parents golf course after they were killed in a car accident with her husband and three year old son. She is a workaholic and runs herself ragged keeping the place open and watching after her toddler daughter. One of her elusive golfers Valerien (who she has never met) likes to golf at dusk. Little does she know that he is a vampire and an enforcer, his job is to hunt down vampires that have gone rogue and prey on humans. One such vampire, the Angelmaker, seems to have his sights set on Natalie. When Valerien discovers that, he will do anything to keep her safe because he has discovered that she is his life mate. BARF. I can't even go on. I did finish reading it (begrudgingly). The ending was double barf. How is this series so long?!? ( )
