A retelling of the brothers majere from the point of view of Raistalin as you play his character facing the test in the tower of high sorcery. Dated but a nice addition to any dragonlance collector's library. Since I haven't actually read this book I don't have much to say about it. I picked it up mainly because it's got a whole bunch of pen and ink illustrations by Mark Nelson inside with that sketchy quality I so enjoy. Many of the images are repeats (coming at the end of chapter-sections), but I was still satisfied overall with my purchase of this used-book. - Peter K. Raistlin's quest to gain power has a cost, and his brother is already an unknowing pawn to some degree. This book is more of a gamebook where you can make choices and change the outcome to some degree, so you read only specific passages that are critical to the plot. All of the background remains the same. However, the end result is that you learned some "insider" info on how Raistlin got the way he was, back before there were any other books that explained it, even before The Time of the Twins series. It was "okay" in terms of a novel, the gaming experience was weak, and I ended up just reading all of the possible paths. Doing so showed Raistlin's ambition and the hidden hand of Fistandantilus. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
