Although I realised after borrowing it I had already read it, as it was six years ago, decided to carry on and read again. I remembered very little about the plot, but it is a very entertaining read and although, as before, the culprit was telegraphed fairly early, it didn't spoil my enjoyment. (

A return to form after the disappointing (to me) last instalment. A tight plot and convincing characters, even if the murderer was rather obvious from about the half-way point. (

Reading Bill Slider is like spending some time in a pair of favorite mocassins with a cup of tea and a great view to enjoy when your mind wanders from the page - great stuff, a real quiet pleasure with just the right amount of humour. (

A seventeen year girl has been found strangled near Wormwood Scrubs and Bill Slider and his team have to try to work out which of the plethora of candidates which emerge is the real killer and why. Great dialogue and characters and as usual firmly rooted in real locations in NW London. Although I guessed the killer's identity three-quarters of the way through the book, the reason was less obvious and kep me engaged to the final page. (

Another well written police procedural with engaging characters. This series rarely disappoints. (
