Before publishing Warlock Holmes, G.S. performed improv comedy for 20 years with Seattle Theatersports and Jet City Improv in Seattle, and SAC Comedy in Florida. He was a writer/performer for live shows at Disney's Epcot Center, wrote comedic reviews for Wizards of the Coast, and worked as a translation editor for Nintendo, ensuring that humor/context translated appropriately from Japanese to English video game scripts.

G.S. is extremely knowledgeable about history and all things pertaining to the geekiverse. He now gives engaging and educational talks to schools, inspiring students to turn their love of comic books and video games into a creative career or enriching hobby. He speaks at conventions, teaching writers improv comedy techiques that will improve their storytelling. He loves chatting on podcasts and is a terribly friendly geek. He has The Best Wife and The Most Beautiful Children. He lives in Puyallup, Washington where he can stare at Mount Rainier and write geeky little jokes. It's a pretty good gig.

Meh. It was fun spotting the Sherlock Holmes tropes, but that amusement only carries so far.

My Grave Ritual
G.S. Denning
This has Dr Watson and Warlock Holmes again solving mysteries and chasing bad guys! Dr Watson is the clue man and Warlock knows all the magic and crazy stuff! This has crazy stories that build up on each other.
Lots of witty dialogue and situations, hilarious at times, and enjoyable throughout! I listened to the graphic audio version from Chirp and it has sound effects and numerous narrators which made it super great! Fun book and series!

A Study in Brimstone
By G.S. Denning

I bought the first 3 books in the series from Chirp in the Graphic Audio addition which has lots of sound effects and numerous narrators. They were on sale for just a few dollars a piece. I was hoping they were good since I didn't know this author. I was so glad I bought them now and I am watching for any more to come on sale!

This is a hilarious take on Sherlock and Watson! Dr Watson is poor and down on his luck and by chance someone tells him of a place to stay. It's with Warlock Holmes. Yes, Warlock seems a bit nutty but he only wants one coin and that's all! No other rent money, ever! So Dr Watson gladly moves in.

This starts a very crazy bro relationship and so fun too! Warlock is not too sharp on social or common sense things but is a very powerful wizard. He can call upon demons to do his bidding at times. This is just a minor thing he does.

Warlock's friends include two Inspectors, a vampire and a Troll! These two are also very good friends but just as crazy as Warlock!
This is such a fun world! The book is a bunch of stories about them but they all build upon each other. Loved it. Terrific narration!

The Hell-Hound of the Baskervilles
By G. S. Denning
This continues the story of the crazy Warlock Holmes and Dr Watson. Watson is the clue finder and Holmes has all the magic. This time most of the story is around an adventure with a Canadian Lord with a curse. Throw in a Hell-Hound, demon horses, a succubus, and a butler that turns out to be a demon, and a serial killer on the loose.
Holmes doesn't want to go to this house on the moors, he actually looked disturbed by the thought of going there. Watson goes alone to guard the Lord while Warlock finds a way to fix the curse.
Just like book one, giggles ensue, occasionally out right laughter! This book is hilarious, witty, and a joy to read or listen. I got the Graphics Audio addition from Chirp that has multiple narrators and sound effects. They are so good!
It's really funny when Watson describes Canadians or Americans.
