This was such a wonderful book! I loved every part of it! It was so well written that I felt as though I were part of the action and was experiencing everything right along with the characters.
The story was exciting, creative, and inventive; and it held my interest the entire time. In it's totality, it was just such a great read!
I would definitely recommend this book to people of all ages. There was some gunplay and fighting scenes in the book but there wasn't any bad language or overt sexuality in the content.
I enjoyed it so much that I'm going to search for other books written by this author.

I am a prolific reader and I can't tell you how excited I am to add another favorite author to my repertoire of great authors!

The best scifi/fantasy novels help us deal with a current problem/idea by reframing it in a different context.
And I would say The Power We Share works to reframe global warming and rising water levels in an actual hopeful manner. The power that once rested in the hands of a few is now manifesting itself in more people, while the people who once had it are starting to lose it.
Will the future be reshaped and reinvigorated by change? Most voices today are pretty fatalistic. The downside of which is that people feel defeated and hopeless. But what if we look forward and grab hold of the future?
This could just be my reading of this book. It takes place in a world where some people have magic, but few rights, while others must buy things from the witches but have freedom. But a pivotal moment is approaching. Some say the ice is melting, the water will rise and drown their islands. But instead of coming together people are fighting each other.
The protagonist decides to bring change and freedom to the world.
I wish there was more parts from the male lead, Davit’s, point of view. And there were a few moments where things were done out of order. But well written and engaging plot line, with believable characters.
