This is another really satisfying dark fantasy. Immersive world, peopled with intriguing characters, creative evil creatures, unique styles of magic bestowed as marks by seven gods. Six of them are more or less benevolent, but the seventh is incredibly evil. There's plenty of action and intrigue, with an ending that feels like you just barely stopped in time to go over a very steep cliff. I'm extremely eager to see what comes next. (
