Imagine having to live the same day over and over again, but changing something each time.

Karma's life ends up in a time loop the moment Devil's Day arrives. She runs her car into one of her bullies and things just escalate from there. Even worse, every morning thing resets and Karma is forced to make changes each time and this changes the dynamic between herself and her three bullies. As each timeline changes, Karma learns that each one of her bullies has been hiding something from her and it begins to change everything she thought she knew. Now Karma has to find a way to stop the time loop and stop someone from dying each time.

So, this book is one of my favorites for the new year. I ended up gobbling it up one night and I seriously was hoping that there was more. I wanted to know about the boys. Everything with them changes each time and some even have slight memories of those time loops.

Karma and her friends are my favorites. I love how the changes in their relationship begin to change and I enjoy that her circle changes as well to try to include others such as Pearl. I felt so sorry for her because of her own situation and I think Karma trying to fix the things in her life by offering an olive branch is wonderful.

I also love Luke and Alice (I hope I am remembering her right). Alice seems to be the glue between their friendship. She may be pregnant and one of the quiet ones but she does have an impact. It is subtitled but the impact is felt.

This has been my first read of a dark romance where the female lead is not so whiny bitch (okay there are moments she does turn into one). I like how the impact of the time loop changes her in different ways.

I will be reading more from this author in the future. ( )

I did not hate it but it is not 1 of my favorites. Somehow it did keep me reading but i was getting a little tired/boring of the whole thing ( )

Okay so normally I hate bully stories and high school stories and first person present tense stories. But this one came recommended off of some blog I was reading and I like time loop stories so I gave it a try. I really enjoyed it, mostly because I liked seeing how she tried different things everyday.

First let me say that first person present worked here because it allowed you to consider that the heroine might not make it through the book. Also it was well done enough that I barely noticed it.

Secondly the bullying. The high school set up was thought out enough that you believed there could be this concentration of assholes. Two of the boys had some reason for being assholes to her which were at least somewhat believable. One of the boys not so much.

The high school thing, well... The guys were written a combination of way hot but also making dumb decisions and acting in ways that were totally not mature. So I guess it works. The bully thing really won't work for me at any age older than high school so I guess this was the most believable setting. I still don't like YA stuff in general.

I felt like the heroine grew over the course of the book which is one of the main things that I want of happen in a book. The author fulfilled that brief well here.

Also this was a one and done. Not a series so good on that score. ( )

Outstanding

I first read this story in the Bully Me anthology. To say that I was hooked would be an understatement. The way it ended in that story on a perpetual time loop of Groundhog's Day but worse? Yeah, I needed to see how it would end.

This was intense. It was a totally different take on Reverse Harem and I loved it. I wouldn't have been able to choose between any of these men for nothing. The steamy times we're HOT ( )

There's blood all over my steering wheel

This was really good. I like C.M. Stunich's writing but the whole high-school bully thing has kept me away from her recent work. This book's "Groundhog Day" premise was interesting enough that I gave it a shot.

I like that this is a stand-alone novel. To allow for this it is twice the length of many romance novels, and it makes good use of its expanded runtime.

I like that the premise of one day being repeated again and again allows Karma's relationships to grow naturally, and privately, with all the key players.

I didn't like the resolution of this story, but it was well told and everything hang together satisfactorily, I just wish Karma had found a different path to get to where she did.

C.M. Stunich writes good sex, and there's plenty of that here, but not at the expense of character development. Sometimes a "fade to black" moment is entirely appropriate to keep the narrative moving.

Recommended, if you're down for explicit, angsty, polyamorous teen romance. ( )
