Still not my favorite series in this universe -- not least because the whole traumatic wrap up is always a little too sudden and neat. Also, I'm not ok with Faithful's death. That said, I know the rest of the story and this installment is pretty critical in setting up all the stories that come after. Glad Alanna remains fiercely of her own mind. ( )

Well, as predicted, unnecessary complications on the plot where created, awesome characters went wasted. interesting new characters where introduced, a more or less satisfying conclusion was given to the main idea of the series, alanna is now a proper knight.
