The second book in The Outlaw Preacher series finds James, aka Nine Ball facing intense spiritual and physical warfare from page one There is no grace period from Outlaw to Evangelist and the enemy is a sore loser. The preacher is the target and the collateral damage begins immediately. This is hard core evangelism and its not for the closet Christian or mamby pamby wishy washy, its for contemporary warriors who recognize that weve been called to fight evil in our world. The Outlaw Preacher is a rough character who lives and loves at high speed. You will either love or hate this guy, but you cannot deny his love for the Lord or his woman, nor his devotion to his club. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

James is a former member of the Doomsayers Motorcycle Club (DMC), before he went to prison and came out a changed man, a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Now he is trying to make a difference by sharing of his faith, and has started up a "church" for any who want to hear what he has to say. His former 'bro' in the biker world, Snake, has been in a bad motorcycle accident and is not expected to live. This will bring James back into the lives of several DMC members and he is not exactly welcomed by all. And then he finds out Snake's accident wasn't really an accident. The mystery and suspense and action begin and don't end until the very end.
This genre of story is outside my normal reading style, but I have to stay, it was a story I had a hard time putting down, and look forward to picking up the next book in this series "Redemption".
Some os my favorite quotes from the book:
James is praying, "In all things we see your will, accept your will, we trust your will, and we rest in your response."
James witnessing, "He (Jesus) paid a debt that was not His to pay; that is grace. He gave His life for us that He could give His to us and live His life through us!"
A couple of good questions: "Do we want our prayers answered or do we want God's will for our lives."
"why don't we trust Him? We think we have a better plan, that's why. It's that simple; we dumb humans are convinced that we have a better plan."
I have lots more marked, but let me just share one more: "Beware those who keep emphasizing their great faith and what great faith does. It's the object of our faith that has the power, not faith itself. It's a slippery slope, bro, when we start thinking we can make God do whatever we want if our faith is big enough. That's not biblical faith, that's sorcery."
I highly recommend this series of books; and can say that I think guys and gals would enjoy this author. ( )
