You're welcome. It was easy to write nice things since I really loved "Vintage". It was funny, I read the book when I found out my library carried it because I had met you and Holly Black at ReaderCon in 2007. I'm sure you wouldn't remember, I was just a panel attendee. The two of you were gracious enough to pose for a picture for me. Then right after I started reading "Vintage" you showed up as an LT author in the little homepage author space. An odd little bit of coincidence.

I'm looking forward to reading more of your work. Maybe "Trysts" next, I like kingkama's comments on it below.

Odd that someone considers my library interesting. I honestly don't own the very large majority of books on it, but hope to at some point. I hope you can find replacements to your books that were damaged.

Hello there!

So glad that "Vintage" was reviewed so positively over on the AfterElton web site. I do check out that site every couple of days, just to catch up on what's new in the media, and over the past two months I did ask Brent Hartinger a couple of times when he was going to get around to reviewing the book! (He was quite positive about the book when he said a review would be coming around Halloween.)

Hey, if you ever get the germ of an idea, as to what next happens to the charaters in "Vintage," I for one would me most curious to hear more of the story...

Thanks for the member connections invitation. They arrived about the time I saw you quoted in the Advocate. Quite a coincidence! I'd ordered Vintage a while back and learned that it will be delivered today so I'm looking forward to adding it to my library and curling up with it. I enjoyed your stories in the Trysts collection, especially trying to get a handle on the cosmography of the Fallen. Keep right on writing.

Picked up Trysts and Vintage at Oscar Wilde this weekend...your stories in Trysts were pithy, cryptic, strangely erotic and quite enjoyable. I have yet to read your novel, Vintage, but look forward to reading it. Thanx for writing me and I too, rue the loss of your books.

Hello there! Just wanted to say, that last night I read your book "Vintage" and absolutely loved it. It's the first book I've ever seen in a genre that I wasn't even sure existed; namely, a young adult ghost-story novel with gay leading characters. I've been looking for tales of that sort for a long time, and the only other one I can possibly think of would be Patricia McKillip's very early juvenile/YA novel "The House on Parchment Street." (And in that one, the gay element is very subdued sort of sub-text; indeed, I very well may be projecting something into that story that the author never intended! I still enjoy the book, though, even as an adult.)

At any rate, please do keep up the good work. I'm hoping that you'll continue on with novels in a similar vein (heck, I'd love to see a follow-up book to "Vintage"--- the characters were very appealing and there's plenty more ghostly adventures they could experience). In the meantime, I've ordered a copy of "Trysts" for a further sample of your work; I'll look forward to more novels, but until then will read up on your short stories.

Thanks for adding my library to your interested list. You probably noticed that I'm paying attention to your library as well and have been using your term "queer speculative fiction," though perhaps not in the same sense you would.

So sorry to hear about the damaged books. I've had some insect damage on a few volumes (one more reason not to store them in a damn garage), and I know how frustrated I feel over that.
